Học tiếng Anh, chúng ta rất cần quan tâm đến từ vựng, ngữ pháp, giao tiếp, kĩ năng nghe, đọc,... Và bên cạnh đó, không thể thiếu những từ viết tắt tiếng Anh thông dụng.

GONNA là dạng nói tắt của cụm "going to". Nếu bạn nói nhanh cụm từ này mà không phát âm rõ từng từ, nghe nó sẽ giống như phát âm của "gonna". Ví dụ:

Nothing's gonna change my love for you. (Sẽ không có điều gì có thể làm thay đổi tình yêu anh dành cho em.)I'm not gonna tell you. (Tôi không nói cho anh biết).What are you gonna do? (Bạn định sẽ làm gì?)

Tương tự, WANNA là dạng nói tắt của "want to" (muốn ...). Ví dụ:

I wanna go home. (Tôi muốn về nhà)I don't wanna go. (Tôi không muốn đi)Do you wanna watch TV? (Con có muốn xem ti vi không?)

Ngoài hai từ trên, trong tiếng Anh còn có khá nhiều các cụm nói tắt tương tự như:

GIMME = give me (đưa cho tôi...)

Gimme your money. (Đưa tiền của anh cho tôi)Don't gimme that rubbish. (Đừng đưa cho tôi thứ rác rưởi đó)Can you gimme a hand? (Bạn có thể giúp tôi một tay không?)

GOTTA = (have) got a (có...)

I've gotta gun / I gotta gun. (Tôi có một khẩu súng)She hasn't gotta penny. (Cô ta chẳng có lấy một đồng xu)Have you gotta car? (Anh có xe ô tô không?)

GOTTA = (have) got to (phải làm gì đó)

I gotta go now. (Tôi phải đi bây giờ)We haven't gotta do that. (Chúng ta không phải làm điều đó)Have they gotta work? (Họ có phải làm việc không?)

INIT = isn't it (có phải không)

That's smart, init? (Nó thật là thông minh phải không?)Init strange? (Điều đó có lạ không?)

KINDA = kind of (đại loại là...)
